PLDT Enterprise strengthens partnership with Kalibo Cable Television Network through VITRO data center solutions

Collaboration underscores PLDT Enterprise’s commitment to support the Digital Transformation and business continuity of its clients.

PLDT Enterprise, the corporate business arm of the Philippines’ largest telecommunications services provider, announced the expansion of its partnership with Kalibo Cable Television Network, providing advanced data center solutions and dedicated connectivity for businesses in Aklan and other areas in Visayas.

This collaboration is said to underscore PLDT Enterprise’s commitment to support the Digital Transformation and Business Continuity of its clients through state-of-the-art technology.

Since 2011, PLDT Enterprise has been a trusted partner of Kalibo Cable Television Network, the first and only cable provider in the region to offer Triple Play services.

Building on this strong foundation, the partnership took a leap forward with Kalibo Cable Television Network adoption of VITRO Internet Exchange (VIX) and colocation services from VITRO, the data center subsidiary of PLDT’s ICT arm ePLDT.

“Our expanded collaboration with Kalibo Cable is a testament to our commitment to delivering high-performance environments for our clients’ critical IT infrastructure,” said Mitch Locsin, First Vice President and Head of Enterprise and International Core Business at PLDT and Smart.

Kalibo decision to leverage VITRO’s Colocation services was Driven by the need for a secure, scalable, and cost-effective solution to support their growing IT infrastructure demands.

The Colocation service provides a robust environment for their critical systems, ensuring uninterrupted service and enhanced security, while VIX connects Kalibo to the country’s riches IP ecosystem – optimizing their local traffic routes for better user experience.

Meanwhile, Metro E-Line service offers dedicated point-to-point connectivity with the simplicity and efficiency of Ethernet technology.
