Hurricane Electric, one of the world’s largest IPv6-native Internet backbone, has announced that it has deployed a new Point of Presence (PoP) at CoreSite OR1 in Orlando. The new PoP is located at 9701 South John Young Pkwy, Orlando FL 32819.
This 130,000+ square foot data center space has cabinets, cages, and private space available, is located just 10 miles from the Orlando International Airport. The CoreSite OR1 data center has guaranteed 99.99% uptime, 24/7 security and controlled access, high-efficiency UPS and N+1 redundancy.
Orlando is one the top 25 future focused cities in the US and one of the fastest growing tech markets with industries including advanced manufacturing, bio tech, aerospace, and fintech. This SOC 1 Type 2 compliant facility is part of the CoreSite 28-data center ecosystem throughout the US, with international connectivity and access to more than nine networks, including global carriers, metro networks and SDNs.
This PoP is Hurricane Electric’s first location in Orlando and seventh in Florida and will provide the region with improved fault tolerance, load balancing and congestion management in the delivery of next-generation IP connectivity services.

Customers of CoreSite OR1 and in and around Orlando, FL now have a variety of new connectivity options and access to Hurricane Electric’s extensive IPv4 and IPv6 network through 100GE (100 Gigabit Ethernet), 10GE (10 Gigabit Ethernet) and GigE (1 Gigabit Ethernet) ports.
Additionally, customers at the facility are able to exchange IP traffic with Hurricane Electric’s vast global network, which offers over 30,000 BGP sessions with over 10,000 different networks via more than 300 major exchange points and thousands of customer and private peering ports.
